Rejuran skin healer

PDO Mono threads

​

With aging process, we lose facial volume through bone resorption, muscle atrophy, fat loss and redistribution, resulting in noticeable changes in the facial shape and expression. We also witness gradual loss of collagen and elastin, the skin developing wrinkles, becomes looser and begins to sag which further contributes to a tired and ageing look. 

PDO Mono Threads offer a non-surgical alternative to injectables to improve the condition of the skin and stimulate collagen and elastin formation. PDO Mono threads are made of a fine synthetic material called Polydioxanone (PDO) with a long history of safe and reliable use in medicine and surgery such as in sutures to close wounds. This material will dissolve over time and is completely eliminated from the body. 

The threads are inserted into the skin using a fine needle, creating a cross-hatching network that will dissolve in three to six months. The more threads inserted, the greater the collagen stimulation. As the body begins to break down the PDO threads, it creates collagen which will improve skin firmness. Results will be noticeable at four weeks with full effects seen after three to six months. 

Please note, these are not lifting threads, PDO Mono threads will stimulate collagen and elastin production, but they do not physically lift the skin.

Microneedling

EXCEED by amiea med is a medical microneedling device clinically proven to visibly reduce wrinkles and treat acne scarring, in particular, to reduce the depth of scars and to normalise the skin structure.

This treatment works by using tiny needles to create microscopic punctures in the skin, triggering the body's natural healing response. With expert precision, technique and timing, EXCEED medical microneedling triggers growth factors for building new collagen. Very tiny needles are used to penetrate the top layer of the skin vertically causing localised and controlled damage without substantially affecting the structure of the epidermis. The creation of controlled microchannels in the skin instigates the regeneration of skin cells via a natural process of healing. Awakening the fibroblast that lies within the deeper layers of the skin, healthy collagen is naturally produced.

The gentle stimulus provided by medical microneedling is considered far more effective than many other more invasive and expensive skincare treatments. It is a quick & easy technique with little downtime. After a course of treatments, skin structure is visibly revitalised, rejuvenated, replenished and regenerated.

Exceed microneedling is an advanced technology device, due to sterile, disposable needle cartridges with safety membrane to prevent backflow of liquids and to ensure no risk of contamination to the handpiece.

This is the only device on the market equipped with a tilting needle plate that adapts to the surface of the skin to ensure perpendicular needle penetration and minimal epidermal trauma. This flexible cartridge head allows the practitioner to carefully treat all contours of the treatment area, unlike rigid non flexible design of other microneedling devices. 

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are skin-resurfacing procedures. Depending on the target concerns, treatments can be offered as light, medium or deep chemical peels.

While all three types of peels target fine lines and wrinkles, acne, pigmentation, redness and dryness, light chemical peels are gentle and superficial and  they remove the outer layer of the skin. Light peels have minimal to no downtime and can be repeated every two to five weeks if needed.

Medium peels penetrate deeper into the skin and provide enhanced results but the recovery time is longer; visible peeling and dry skin are expected two weeks post-treatment.

There are different types of chemical peels (Enzyme, Salicylic, Lactic or Layered peel) that can be applied as light or medium depth chemical peels, as they warry in intensity. However, the choice of peel and its intensity will depend on target concerns. For example, Salycilic peels are great for acne and congestion, while Lactic peels will imprve hydration and target pigmentation. With appropriate protocols and adequate client selection, layered peel options are available as well. 

Lastly, deep peels are one-time intense treatments that can target skin concerns on a deeper level, such as melasma. Chemical peels cannot remove deep scars or wrinkles or tighten sagging skin.
